I love this quote. It is how I feel about life. My name is Amanda Pitts, I am eighteen years old, and one of my passions in life is to travel. I just graduated high school June '09. In less than 3 weeks I will be going on the Baja Ha-Ha with my parents on our 54' sailboat down to Mexico and continue south from there. I don't know how long I will be gone or where I will end up , I just want to see as much as I can see and live as much as I can live. I know most people think it is crazy for an eighteen year old girl to get stuck on a boat with her parents (and it actually is a little bit), but I have lived on this boat the past three years of my life and am pretty well adapted to the boating way of doing things :) We have been preparing for the trip the past few months, which mostly consists of my Dad doing all the engine work and my Mom doing the varnishing and me standing there giving approving glances, but I pitch in whenever they need me! So we have been stuck in San Diego all summer just waiting and waiting and I can't wait to set sail. I love cultural anthropology so I can't wait to see all the different cultures and learn about their way of doing things , I am so excited to start living life.
